As with other serious crimes, being charged with drug possession may lead to jail time. Recently, law enforcement officers went to a home to investigate narcotics activity, having received reports about supposed suspicious activity. The house had been placed under surveillance, and deputies saw what they thought were drug sales taking place at the home. Deputies also reportedly saw people smoking marijuana in the house.
After getting consent to search the home, the deputies allegedly found marijuana and nine grams of crystal methamphetamine inside the home. Two 25-year-old men from Nacogdoches, Texas, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
